Meet Luis
With a degree from the University of Tennessee, a background in community service, and bipartisan policy advocacy experience, Luis has a proven track record of fighting for progress and delivering real solutions for working families in Tennessee—and he’s ready to get to work on day one.
While our current leadership is too busy trying to divide us, we deserve leaders who will restore balance and deliver real solutions. He’s running for TN State Representative because no matter where we come from, who we are, or where we live, we all want and deserve the same thing–a chance to live affordably, safely, and freely. As Tennessee’s first-ever Latino immigrant State Legislator, he will continue to be a champion for a Tennessee where we can all belong and thrive.

Protecting Public Education
Luis will stand boldly in support of strong public neighborhood schools in every community and stand against efforts like vouchers that privatize our schools and take our public tax dollars away from teachers and students.
Bringing Good Jobs to Our Communities
By investing in workforce development, expanding access to resources for small businesses, and supporting initiatives that promote prosperity and financial stability for all residents, we can create a prospering economy for Rutherford County.
Eliminating Taxes on Working Families and Local Businesses
Corporate tax breaks have done nothing to ease rising costs for working families. Luis will prioritize working families and local businesses over big corporations and the wealthy few, like eliminating the grocery tax and providing support for small businesses.
Taking Action on Traffic and Infrastructure
Rutherford County is the fastest growing county in Tennessee. Property tax increases are not a solution. Instead, we must work with our local governments to invest in smart infrastructure projects that address traffic congestion and create sustainable development.
Protecting Our Freedoms
Our futures, our families, and our freedoms are on the line this election. Luis will fight to protect our freedom to decide if and when we start a family, our freedom to live free from the fear of gun violence, and our freedom to belong and thrive.
