It’s past time we fully fund our local neighborhood schools, invest fully in our teachers and their workplace conditions, and transform the educational experience of our students to ensure they receive a quality education regardless of where they grow up. Luis will stand boldly in support of strong public neighborhood schools in every community and resist efforts to privatize education in Rutherford County. Educating our children is the most important thing we can do for the health of our communities and our future.

Across Rutherford County, years of neglect have resulted in increased traffic congestion, crumbling roads, inadequate public transport, outdated school buildings, and other critical infrastructure needs. Rutherford County is the fastest growing county in Tennessee and our investment must meet the needs of our community. Property tax increases are not a solution. Instead, we must work with our local governments to invest in smart infrastructure projects that address traffic congestion and create sustainable development.

Due to current leadership, working families face challenges such as limited access to affordable housing, disparities in educational opportunities, and insufficient support for small businesses. Corporate tax breaks and property tax hikes have done nothing to ease rising costs for small businesses and working families. Luis will work to cut costs, eliminate the grocery tax, and expand access to resources for small businesses so that Rutherford County can be a place that truly works for working families.

Luis will advocate for real solutions that prioritize job creation, foster entrepreneurship, and promote equitable economic growth. By investing in workforce development, incentivizing job creation, and supporting initiatives that promote financial stability for all residents, we can unlock the full potential of Rutherford County's economy and ensure a prosperous future for generations to come. Luis will keep fighting to create a prospering economy for all residents in District 49 and Rutherford County.

Our state leadership is too busy trying to divide us instead of working together to restore balance and get things done. Our futures, our families, and our freedoms are on the line this election. Luis will fight to protect our freedom to decide if and when we start a family, our freedom to live free from the fear of gun violence, and our freedom for all of us, regardless of where you come from or who you love, can belong and thrive. Most of us want the same thing—a chance to live affordably, safely, and freely.
